New Vampire Diaries season 5 Jeremy fake death story spoilers dished out by the cast. As previously reported, the cast of CW's hit show, Vampire Diaries ,showed up at the big 2013 Comic-Con event this past weekend to serve up some major,season 5,spoilery dish. In this particular segment, it turns out that Jeremy and Elena have a major fake death story cooked up to explain away Jeremy's funeral and all that mess. They revealed that Elena is going to rehearse a script with Jeremy that involves him, telling everyone, he faked his own death, burned his house down ,and ran away from home. The scene is supposed to be a pretty comical one too. In related news, it was also made known that dead Bonnie will only be able to communicate Jeremy, and that she'll have to deal with the fact that she sacrificed her own life without really realizing it, and the grief that comes along with that. Season 5 is scheduled to premiere Thursday night, October 10th, 2013.
